Legal Counsel Procurement – Soft Commodities Canton de Vaud Temporary

For our client, a multinational company based in the Canton of Vaud, we are seeking a Legal Counsel Procurement – Soft Commodities (Fixed-term contract – available rapidly).
Responsibilities
Support the General Counsel Procurement and work with legal leads in the management of legal affairs related to the procurement of direct materials (commodities and ingredients).
Provide legal advice and support to procurement in agri commodities and ingredient categories, including with regards to ESG matters.
Raise awareness, visibility and importance of legal matters to internal clients.
Support the legal procurement team in developing best in class form agreements, processes and trainings for the procurement community.
Manage projects with multiple stakeholders.
Manage claims in liaison with multiple stakeholders in various countries.
Protect the best interests of the company.
Qualifications
Qualified lawyer, ideally in a common law jurisdiction.
At least 7 years of experience in varied legal environments, working on procurement or supply chain related matters with a focus on direct materials.
Strong knowledge of commercial law and excellent contract negotiation skills.
Understanding of complex commercial arrangements (tolling, PPA, Co-manufacturing agreements..) derivatives markets and trade finance structures would be an asset.
Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in making presentations and trainings.
Knowledge and experience of ESG matters is a plus.
